Happy Monday,
Wow! last week just sped by. I am soooo excited because tomorrow the new catalog goes live.  I can't wait for you to see all of the great new ideas and products the Stampin' Up! team has created.  New punches, thinlits and stamps I am in creative heaven.  I have had so much fun playing and creating and I can't wait for you to join me.  I have another share for you using one of the new punches.

Can you guess what it is?  No, it isn't a sunflower punch. I saw this on Pinterest and couldn't wait to make one.  I am crazy for Christmas crafting and sometimes tend to just skip over fall.  So, today I have taken a Christmas flower punch and made it into a sunflower for you.  I hope you like it.

Visit my blog tomorrow to view the new catalog or if you would like to have one in your hand please contact me.

You can order by clicking on my shop now button and as always thank you for your support!

CUTE CENTERPIECE
This is a cute idea from one of our Artisan Designers.  I can picture this using a Fall color palette with neutrals for the cage and the vibrant autumn colors for the leaves and flowers. I am originally from the mountains of North Carolina and love Fall; the crunch of leaves under your feet, crisp mornings, the brilliant colors and the smell of burning fireplaces.  Here in Raleigh we don't have a true Fall, more of an Indian summer.  Although I have been here for many years this is the time of year I am the most "homesick" for the mountains.
Give this project a try and share your comments with me.

DIY PAPER BIRD CAGE

Hello! My favorite projects to stamp are summer projects . . . yes, even more than Christmas projects! August is coming to a close and it seems like everyone is getting ready for fall. I wanted to give you a summer-y project today to celebrate the end of summer! We still have a few weeks left of beautiful weather . . . let’s enjoy!
1
The birdcage itself was created using Whisper White Cardstock (item # 100730) and a Candy Dot Brad Base (item # 132293)! In the spirit of upcycling, the base of the cage was created using scrap packaging paper from the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper packages. You will need a 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch (item # 134363) and the Circles Collection Framelits Dies (item # 130911).

In step 12 you will see that I upcycled an empty Stampin’ Up! button container for filler inside the birdcage base. This was perfect! The only downside was that it was a bit fussy to add my flowers through the birdcage bars. Fussy . . . but not impossible. Just take it one flower and one leaf at a time. Be gentle so you do not bend or crease the bars.
I got comfy in front of the TV and created my paper flowers watching Netflix (a match made in heaven). The Fun Flower Punch (item # 133785) and the Flower Fair Framelits Dies (item # 133731) made creating the flowers effortless. You will need to punch or cut out multiple flowers in the same color for each flower shape you want to create. Use a Bone Folder (item # 102300) to curl the flower petals and soften the fibers of the cardstock. You can also crumple the petals for more texture (as I have done here).
5
I wanted to hang something down the center of the birdcage. The Vintage Faceted Buttons (item # 127555) threaded with Silver Metallic Thread (item # 138402) were just perfect (if I do say so myself).
6
To finish it all off, I added a bow using Pink Pirouette 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon (item # 134574) and a birthday gift tag using the Flower Patch Stamp Set (item # 134207). This stamp set coordinates with the Flower Fair Framelits Dies that I used above to create the flowers. You simply cannot have one without the other! Trust me, you’ll need them both!
