Whoa, this week has flown by and although this post was uploaded days ago I forgot to post it.  The colors are distorted in this picture although I like the brighter colors.  Actually the base and the larger flowers are Tangerine Tango with Pool Party small flowers.  The leaves, ruffled ribbon and  accent behind the Hello are Lucky Limeade.

To make this card you will need:
Bordering on Romance stamp
Tangerine Tango card stock
Whisper White card stock
 Black ink pad
Tangerine Tango marker
Pool Party marker
Lucky Limeade marker
Lucky Limeade 3/8" ruffled ribbon
Snail

GHIRADELLI CHOCOLATE HOLDER

Our church has adopted a local elementary school. To show the staff how much they are appreciated I dropped off 80 of these Ghiradelli chocolate holders yesterday on my way to work.  These candy holders have been around for quite a while and can be decorated for any occasion.

Cut a piece of colored card stock of choice 3" x 8" and score at 3 7/8 " and 4 1/8".  Use your word window punch to make your opening on the front piece.  Make sure your paper is in the punch as far as it will go, make your cut and move your punch so the edge of your punch is even with the right side, punch, repeat with the left side.  This should extend your opening by about 1/4" to 3/8 " on each side.

Decorate to taste.  The top is usually closed by punching a hole on each side at the top, running ribbon through and finished by tying a bow.  I  changed it up a bit by cutting my closure piece using the Labels Collection Framelits next to the smallest frame.  After cutting my Whisper White card stock with the framelit I  ran it through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I folded the paper in half and used sticky strip on each side to hold it firmly closed.

You can modify the size of your opening to hold a miniature Hershey Bar or other flat type of candy.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day.  This is one of my favorite cards, must be because I love pink.  It was a sad day when my pink Blackberry died, I replaced it of course but not with another pink phone just boring black. sigh.... I digress, back to the card.

There are so many little things that give this card a simple but chic look.  I learned to save colored card stock by using a single piece of  4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Melon Mambo card stock with a 4" x 10 1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock scored at  5 1/4", folded in half . The bottom of the Whisper White is punched with the pinking hearts punch, a  4" x 1" strip of Melon Mambo is attached to the bottom inside the card.  I cut the heart  using the Heart Framlits in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Whisper White is attached to the Melon Mambo with snail.  The Heart Image is stamped using the P.S. I Love you stamp set, also in the Occasions Mini.  Don't you love this catalog?

To line the image up be sure to use your Stamp a ma jig to help you position your image and you will have a clean precise image exactly where you want it!  The card is finished off with a little piece of Melon Mambo 1/2" scallop dots ribbon.  The sentiment " you make my whole face smile"  makes this card perfect to thank someone any time of the year.

TIP:  Make a card for a friend, write or stamp your message using a sticky note on the inside and ask them to re-gift it.

Thanks for stopping by,
 Until next time, Inky Huggz

I WAS ISSUED A CHALLENGE AND NEED YOUR HELP

I was recently issued a challenge, but I NEED YOUR HELP! For the "One Hundred Hands" Challenge, I need to stamp with 50 NEW PEOPLE BEFORE April 15. This could be you hosting a party and inviting people I haven't met before, inviting new friends to attend scheduled classes or camps , or even one-on-one stamping time with a brand new stamper that just wants to learn the basics of stamping.

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT? You and your "new-to-me" friend* will both be entered to win a gift basket . Your name will be entered in the drawing as many times as the number of new people you bring me!

Don’t forget this is Sale - a - bration! By hosting a party both you and your friends can earn free merchandise with an order of 50.00 or more.

I appreciate your efforts in helping me meet the goals of this challenge!

I Can't Wait to stamp with you and your friend!!

Yesterday I called one of my co-workers in another department and boy did she sound stuffy.  I came home last night  and decided to make her something to brighten her day today that would also be useful.  Here is what I made.  I put a small pack of travel tissues in it and left it for her on my way to work.
If you have a friend with a nasal fluid emergency this little tissue box is quick and economical to make.  You can make 2 from I sheet of card stock.

Paper: Pacific Point card stock, Beyond the Garden DSP
Stamps:  Word Play
Ink: Pacific Point
Misc: snail, dimensionals, Labels Collection Framelits, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, sticky tape

This year I am making birthday treats for the staff
( from the staff) at our school.  The February treat is made with the Big Shot Petite Pocket die with the flap cut off and the new Heart Framelits Collection found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The M&M's are in a small cellophane bag folded in half so it will fit.  I tied the bag with bakers twine.  The tag is a  stamped and punched oval mounted on a scalloped oval.
