I found this cute little broom on Connie Babbert's blog and just had to make it.  It's made with the petal cone die. I am amazed with the creations you can make with this die and will be sharing some Christmas boxes in the future.  After I made the broom I found it a little small for a centerpiece but if the handle was shorter it would be perfect for a Thanksgiving place card. You could put a slit in the top of the broom handle for the card or replace Fall with a name card.  You could even cut out the leaf with your die cut and write the name on the leaf shape.  If you decided to put it in the top I think I would stamp gratitude and use it to replace Fall.  I am working on a Thanksgiving place setting so stay tuned and see what I end up with. I love it when the ideas in your head turn out the way you pictured them.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Today is the last day for the Back to Spool campaign.  You get a free spool of in color ribbon for every $40.00 ourchased.  To place an order click here.

PERFECTLY PRESERVED NUGGET HOLDER

Isn't this stinkin' cute?  This is not my original idea, I loved it when I saw it online but I can't remember whose site I saw it on.  A big thank you to the ingenious person who thought this up.  This cutie will hold 4 nuggets wrapped with DSP..  I will try and share directions, I hope they make sense.

For the box: cut a piece of card stock, I used whisper white, 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" .  Score the short side (1 1/2" )
at 1/4" and 1 1/4 " or 1/4" in on each side.   Score the long side ( 4 1/2" ) at 1 1/2" x 3" and cut the score lines on the long side in to the 1/4" score on both sides, that should be 4 cuts.  Crease all score lines and fold up the 1 1/2" and 3" score lines.  This should make a box, attach the 4 corners with a glue dot.

Stamp 2 jar images with your Perfectly Preserved stamp set and cut them out with the Cannery Framelits.
Punch the center out with the oval punch (you can skip this step if you prefer not to have a window) and attach stamped image to the front and back of your box with glue dots.

Cut your jar lid out of DSP with your Cannery Set framelit and attach to your jar with glue dots.

Wrap your nuggets in a strip of DSP and put in your box.  There is a top you can't see that fits over your top nugget.  To make this cut  DSP 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" and score the 1 1/2" side at 1/4" and 1 1/4" or 1/4 inch in on each side.  After stacking your nuggets in your box put a glue dot on each corner of your top over to hold it secure and your nuggets in place.

Cut a piece of ribbon of choice and tie it around the neck of your jar,  I used about 7" of ribbon and tied mine in a knot.

I used Black Staz On ink, Whisper White card stock, Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper, Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the Cannery Framelits from the Holiday Mini to make this holder.

Great Fall or Masculine Card

Here is another card from my Happy Fall Y'all class.  My image is stamped with Versamark using a stamp from Lovely as a Tree on Whisper White card stock cut 5 1/4 by 4. The card base is Early Espresso card stock cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  I carefully put Early Espresso embossing powder ( using the tip of my bone folder to dip out the powder) on the trunk and mixed Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango embossing powder for the leaves.  I would have liked a little red but am happy with the result. I used a greeting from Blooming With Kindness stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White card stock and backed with a piece of  Early Espresso card stock.  Add the color ribbon of your choice and you have a great masculine card for any occasion.

TRIPLE TIME STAMPING

This card was one of the cards in my Happy Fall Ya'll card class.  We made 4 Fall themed cards.  I love the triple time stamping. For this techniques cut three pieces of Whisper White card stock 2 x 3 3/4, 3 x 4 1/4 and 4 x 5 1/4.  Put just a smidgen ( southern term) of tape on the back of each piece to hold it in place and center each piece on the next larger size.  Your stack should have 2 x 3 3/4 centered on the 3 x 4 1/4 with the 4 x 5 1/4 on the bottom.  I used the French Foliage stamp set and Gumball Green, Cajun Craze and More Mustard Ink pads.  Stamp randomly using stamps and colors of choice.  It may look busy but remember you are going to break it up with layers of card stock. Cut card stock 2 1/4 x 3 1/2, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 with your base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Carefully lift your Whisper White pieces up and mount each piece on the coordinating size of card stock, you should have about a 1/4" border on each.  My tip would be to make sure you have your pieces aligned with the image on the next size before using snail to permanently mount each square to the next largest size.  I used Gumball Green card stock as my base.  For my sentiment I used a stamp from My Friend stamp set.

I always recommend attaching a piece of white card stock to the inside of your card so you can write a personal note or stamp a message if desired.  I like to stamp a coordinating image on the inside of my card and on my envelope.

Hope you enjoyed this card.

Gently Falling

Tis the season to start stamping!  For my focal point I used the Gently Falling stamp set and Soft Suede ink to creat these colorful leaves.  I stamped my images on Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron cardstock and cut them out free hand with my snips.  Popped them up on a small piece of Orchard Harvest DSP which is mounted on So Saffron cardstock and used Soft Suede cardstock as my card base.  Although there are numerous layers, this card was easy to make and has a simple, clean look.
