ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 23



Day 23


Apply chocolate chip marker to the numbers "23" only and stamp on Whisper White Card Stock. Cut the numbers out and set aside
Punch out a 1" square piece of designer paper and adhere numbers 
Punch Chocolate Chip card stock with Curly Label Punch
Cut a 1 1/4' by 1 1/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock
Cut a 2" by 2" piece of Garden Green Card Stock
 
Assemble as follows:
Attach number 23 to 1" square of designer paper, which should be attached to the Chocolate Chip Curly Label punch out.  Adhere the Curly Label punch out to the 1 1/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock and attach to the 2" square of Garden Green Card Stock.

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 22

 Day 22 Closed
 Day 22 Inside


  1. Apply chocolate chip marker to the word "twenty two" on the stamp and stamp onto Whisper white card stock.  Clean stamp
  2. Ink up stamp with chocolate chip ink and stamp image onto Whisper White card stock.
  3. Punch image out with 1" square punch and set aside.

Lid:
Please note that the lid opens from the top down.
  1. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 1 5/8 by 7/8
  2. Cut 2 pieces of designer paper 1/4 by 7/8"
  3. Apply one piece to the top of the Whisper White piece (horizontal) and the reverse side of the pattern paper at the bottom, leaving a strip of Whisper White in between.
  4. Insert a brad on the right hand side of the Whisper White strip
  5. Clip clothespin to top of lid on the left hand side.

Inside:
  1. Center 1 by 1" image piece onto 2 by 2 piece of chocolate chip card stock
  2. Apply to bottom of cherry cobbler peek-a-boo frame

Close lid:
Attach Whisper White taffeta bow
Spritz with Shimmer Mist

  1. Stamp image of Day 21 with Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. 
  2. Punch out using 1" square punch
  3. Cover with Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder and set with embossing tool
  4. Punch one Scallop Square out of Garden Green card stock.  Adhere 1" Whisper White square to Garden Green scallop square.
  5. Adhere to 2 by 2" chocolate chip card stock

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 20

 Good Morning, here is your Advent Calendar's day 20.

 Day 20
  1. Stamp image twice with Chocolate Chip Ink, once on Garden Green card stock, and once on Whisper White card stock
  2. Punch the image on the Garden Green cardstock out with the 1" square punch
  3. With a pair of paper snips, cut out snowglobe on the Whisper white card stock.
  4. Apply dazzling diamonds to the snow at the bottom of the globe (optional)
  5. Using dimensionals attach the globe to the garden green cardstock immediately over the globe.
  6. Punch out a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock with the Curly Label punch and attach Garden Green cardstock to the Chocolate Chip curly label
  7. Attach the curly Label to a 2 by 2" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 18 AND 19

 DAY 18 and 19
 DAY 18 and 19 INSIDE
Day 18:
  1. Apply Garden Green marker directly on to the stamp and stamp the image twice on Whisper White Card Stock.
  2. Cut the word "Eighteen" from one of the images stamped and discard the rest
  3. Apply the cut out image to the lid of the Peek-a-Boo double punch.
  4.  Punch out second image with 1" square punch (Note:  I did not do that on this particular calendar, but I have done it on subsequent ones and it looks much better)
  5. Clear emboss the punched out image
  6. Apply this image to a 3 by 1 3/4" piece of Whisper White Card stock so that it is visible when door to Day 18 opened.

Day 19
  1. Apply Cherry Cobbler marker to the letters "19" on the stamp and stamp on Whisper White Card stock.
  2. Punch out with 3/4" circle punch.
  3. Attach only 1/2 of this circle to the Day 18 side of the lid
  4. Stamp the entire image of Day 19 beside the Day 18 image on the 3 by 1 3/4" Whisper White card stock as shown in the picture.  
  5. Apply dazzling diamonds to the white bells
  6. Tie a bow with the 1/8" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, tie a mini jingle bell with Baker's Twine around the ribbon, and attach the unit to the lid of Day 19
  7. Use a library clip to keep both doors closed.
  8. Scallop punch a small strip of Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Apply to short edges of peek-a-boo die cut, trim off excess.

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 16

DAY 16
 DAY 16 INSIDE
Lid:
  1. Die cut the smallest star from Stars #2 die in Cherry Cobbler (if you have a star punch use that)
  2. Using Chocolate Chip Ink, stamp numbers 1 and 6 on Garden Green Card Stock.  Either cut out the numbers or use a small circle punch to punch out the numbers
  3. Adhere numbers to the lid of the Chocolate Chip Peek-a-Boo Window  die cut as shown in the picture above
Inside:
  1. Stamp the image from Day 16 in Chocolate Chip ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock. 
  2. Punch out using the 1" square punch
  3. Cover with Versamark, then sprinkle clear embossing powder over it and set with embossing tool.
  4. Adhere to center of 2 by 2" piece of Whisper White card stock
  5. Adhere to bottom of top piece making sure the image is centered and the right way up.

Close lid and spritz with Shimmer Mist, you can find the recipe at the Day 3 postings below.

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 15

I have been a little under the weather this week so am running behind on the days for the Advent Calendar.  It might be this crazy weather, almost 80 in mid October!  It will be cool just long enough for you to think about packing away your summer clothes and then warm up enough that you are glad you didn't.   Let's look at Day 15, only 9 more to go!
DAY 15
DAY 15 INSIDE

Door:
With a marker, apply Cherry Cobbler ink onto the number 15 on the stamp
Stamp onto a piece of White Card Stock
Punch out with Jewelry Tag Punch
Cut 2 narrow strips (1/8") of designer paper and cut to fit door, apply with adhesive both horizontally and vertically on outside of door
Attach jewelry tag where designer paper intersects.
Place a Pearl on top of the jewelry tag punch

 
Inside:
Cut a piece of 2 by 2" Whisper White Card stock
Using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp image in the middle
Attach to the back of the Garden Green Peek-a-Boo punch making sure the image is centered.

Day 14

  1. Stamp image with Cherry cobbler ink on Whisper White card stock
  2. Punch out with square scallop punch
  3. When ink dry apply Versamark ink to entire surface
  4. Apply clear embossing powder and heat with embossing tool
  5. Adhere to 1 1/2 by 1 1/2" square Cherry cobbler card stock
  6. Adhere to 2 by 2 piece of Whisper White card stock

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 13

Today I have Day 13 of your Advent Calendar with two views using the peek-a-boo frame. 
 CLOSED
 INSIDE
Here are your directions:
  1. Cut a piece of  Cherry Cobbler Card Stock to 2 1/2 by 2 1/2
  2. On a second piece of cherry Cobbler card Stock, with chocolate chip ink, stamp the number 13 on card stock.
  3.  Cut each number out separately - either in a square, rectangle, or using a small circle punch 
  4. Using chocolate chip ink, stamp image of day 13 onto Whisper White card stock and punch out with 1" square punch 
  5.  Mat punched image to Cherry Cobbler square, and attach this to back of Chocolate Chip pop up window unit. 
  6. Thread Baker`s twine (either white, or early espresso/white) through button holes and tie a know at the top  
  7. Attach a button to the lid just above the notch. 
  8. Attach numbers above button.

  1. Apply Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler markers directly to stamp, huff and stamp onto Whisper white card stock
  2. Punch out image with 1 1/4" Circle Punch and set aside
  3. Punch out a 1 3/8" circle in Chocolate Chip card stock
  4. Punch out one Scallop Circle in Cherry Cobbler card stock
  5. Cut 2 by 2" piece of Frostwood Lodge Designer Paper and emboss with Perfectly Polka Dot Embossing Folder
  6. Adhere 1 1/4" punched image onto 1 3/8" Chocolate Chip circle
  7. Adhere this to cherry Cobbler scallop circle
  8. Adhere this to center of designer paper

ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 11

 Here are the directions for Day 11.  There is one view as the  peek-a-book window was not used
Day 11
  1. Cut piece of Garden Green card stock 2 by 2" and emboss with Perfectly Polka dot embossing folder
  2. Punch 1 Whisper White square scallop using the Scallop Square Punch
  3. Color directly on to stamp with markers - Cherry Cobbler for candle, Daffodil Delight for flames, and Chocolate Chip for the rest.
  4. When dry apply Versa Mark to the entire surface of a 1" punched  image , apply clear embossing powder and heat with embossing tool
  5. Attach to scallop square with dimensionals
  6. Attach this unit to the Garden Green embossed card stock

ADVENT CALENDAR DAYS 9 AND 10

Good morning and Happy Hump Day ! It's drizzling and gray here in Raleigh, my mind must have gotten soggy as I forgot to post Day 9 of your calendar yesterday.  The good news is today you have two days.  Here we go!

 DAY 10


Day 10 has only one view as the peek-a-boo window is not used.
Here are the directions for day 10:
  1. Using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp the image from Day 10 onto a piece of 2 by 2" Whisper White card stock
  2. Cut a piece of 1 3/4 by 2" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock
  3. Punch a hole in the middle with the 1 1/4" circle punch
  4. Scallop punch a short length of Garden Green Card stock and attach at the lower edge of the Cherry Cobbler card stock
  5. Center and attach the Whisper White card stock with the stamped image to the back of the cherry Cobbler card stock.
  6. Attach this to a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip card stock.

  2. Punch out of chocolate chip square scallop square
  3. Cut  a piece of 1 1/8 by 1 1/8" square of Cherry Cobbler
  4. Using Chocolate chip ink, stamp the image of Day 9 onto Whisper White card stock and punch out with 1" square punch
  5. Mat with 1 1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler, and attach both to the Chocolate chip scallop square
  6. Attach this unit to the Garden Green card stock using dimensionals.
Inside:
Cut  Garden Green card stock to 2 1/2 by 2 1/2"
Cut Cherry Cobbler card stock to 1 1/8" square
Using chocolate chip ink, stamp image of day 9 onto Whisper White card stock and punch out with 1" square punch
Mat punched image to Cherry Cobbler square, and attach this unit to the middle of the Garden Green card stock
Attach to back of Cherry Cobbler pop up window unit.
