I hope you are enjoying your weekend.   I have been working on cards during my break. I have a lot half finished that I can't decide how I want to complete them or am waiting for product. This morning I was looking at a tutorial I have had since last fall and decided to play. Look at what I made, it is so stinkin' cute!!  The pictures don't do it justice.  The box is a flip box made from one sheet of cardstock.  The technique for the hearts is the same one we used for the ornaments in the Holiday Catalog.

My card base is Very Vanilla cardstock with a layer of Primrose Petals cardstock and for the top Layer I used the More Amore paper from the Spring catalog.   I cut a Very Vanilla doiley using the  Sizzlits Large Delicate Doilies die attached with snail to my Designer Series paper and popped up the tripple heart with dimensionals.  I used Very Vanilla seam binding which I ran behind my Primrose Petals layer of card stock for my bow.

To make the hearts I  stamped 3 hearts with Primrose Petals ink using the Hearts A Flutter stamp set, cut it out using the Hearts A Flutter Framelits.   I folded each one in half and glued the right side to the left side of the next one until I had all three in a fan shape and then glued the two remaining back halves to a large heart cut from  Primrose Petals cardstock with the large Hearts a Flutter framelit.

This flip box is  held together with a belly band of Primrose Petals cardstock and a narrower strip of More Amore Designer Series paper run down the middle with snail.  The triple heart is attached to one of the smaller doilies cut with the Large Delicate Doilies Sizzlet.  I cut a smaller heart with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and attached it to the middle of the larger heart before I folded them.

I hope you enjoyed todays share.  You can find all products to make this project in my Stampin' Up! store here

Today I have a gift card holder for my granddaughter.  Aralei is 16 and wants money and gift cards this year for Christmas which made my shopping for her simple.  I just haven't gotten the cards yet and it's 2 days before Christmas!  I need to join procrastinators annonymous. (smile)  I used a VISA card in each pocket but she also wants an Auto Bell card, itunes ( what teenager doesn't?) gas card and money, thus the VISA.  I used Becky Roberts holder for her mother as a springboard and this is what I ended up with.

This is the front of the book

Card 1

Card 2

Card 3

Card 4

Back page

It is a little bulky  I think I might use a small belly band to hold it closed even though the ribbon on the outside gets in the way.  In retrospect I should have used smaller ribbon.  I am not taking it apart although the temptation is strong.  I keep slapping my hands.  Don't you hate it when you are finished and find something you want to change?

I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock as my base and the Festival of Prints Paper Stack to cover my pages.  My stamps are from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and coordinating Framelits.  I double backed my cut out images using various punches and the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Which punches you use is a matter of personal taste but mainly which one the image would fit on.

I hope you enjoyed this gift card book.  I did not use Becky's tutorial however she has one on her blog if you would like to have one.

I will be changing the look of my blog as well as my posting platform  which is going to be a learning curve for me.  Stay tuned to see my new look.  I love it!  Stinkin' cute.  Thanks Cristena.

I hope you have enjoyed this share.

QUICK AND EASY CHRISTMAS CARDS

Today I am sharing 2 of the cards I made with the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags and coordinating Designer Series Paper.  These cards were quick and easy to make.  If you have some of these tags and need a few last minute cards these are perfect.

I used Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green cardstock cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, cut a strip of my Designer Series Paper ( the width would depend on your preference) and attached it with my snail. I popped up the tag with dimensionals.  Easy!  I did not stamp a sentiment on the tags as I have various stamped sentiments I punched out and backed with cardstock punched out with coordinating shapes to go with these as a gift.  She can shoose her sentiment and pop it on the card with the dimentionals I have pre-attached to the back.

I always recommend attaching a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside of a dark colored card for a personal note or a stamped image and signature.

I hope you have enjoyed these quick and easy cards.  I will share the rest of them tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

CUTE GIFT CARD HOLDER

Christmas is closing in on me and I have been furiously working on a few fast and easy last minute cards and gift card holders.  Today I would like to share 2 of my gift card holders with you.

These cute little packages are gift card holders.  Lift up the lid and you have a pocket to put your gift card in.  The bows are made using two sizes of oval punches.  makle sure you punch with the small one first and then with the larger size.  Attach your punched ovals together at the bottom and then adhere to your card.  Easy peasy.

To make the bottome of the holder cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 9 x 3 1/4 and score at 2 1/2 and 6 3/4.  Put adhesive along one long side and one short side, on the inside of your paper( if you put it on both the top and bottom you will not have an opening for your card, I learned this the hard way.  oopsie)   fold your scores toward the center and press closed.  The lid is a piece of Designer Series Paper, I used the reverse side of the print I was used for the bottom.  Score at 1 1/2 and fold in half the long way.  Do not apply adhesive on this piece.  I put the lid on the box and attached it through the bottom of the box with a brad.

You can put your card in the envelope or attach it to a piece of card stock with a glue dot.  Make sure you make some type of pull to pull your cardstock out.  I used the retired tab punch.  gasp, yes I did, I used a retired punch.  They are available on the clearance rack.  The card stock insert should be 3 x 3 1/2 if you choose to use it.

I attached a small strip of card stock to the front, added my bow and it's finished.

I love that you can use these for birthdays or any occasion you would give a gift, simply change your paper to fit the occasion.

I hope you enjoyed my little gift boxes.

Before I go I would like to share this Video.

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  Already out shopping?  My shopping is easy this year;  I have two 16 year old granddaughters that want gift cards and a few little extras.  My husband wants batteries for his tools.  How easy is that?  lol.

Today I have an angel ornament that is fun and easy to make.

Cut one scallop circle with your Scallop Circle Bigz die and punch two 2 3/8 scallop circles from your choice of DSP and one doily using your Paper Doily Sizzlets die, I used Whisper White card stock.  Cut all of your circles in half and glue each half of the doily on to each of the scallop circle halves.  I used the 2-Way glue pen as I found the multipurpose glue too sticky.  Form cones with each half of your punched scallop circle halves and one of your die cut circle halves to make your body and arms.  I tried various methods to glue the seams and hot glue works the best as you can still manipulate your form before it dries.  I tried red line tape but if I did not have it exact the first time I was in a mess.  lol  Use the remaining half of you die cut scallop with the doily glued to it for the wings, attaching at the back seam.  I used a long ornament hanger and ran it through the tip of my body cone, making sure to put a glob (technical term) of glue to secure it inside the cone.  My head was made with a bead from the pretties kit that you can find in the clearance rack topped with a button.  I added glue between the pearl and the body and another dot of glue between the pearl and the button.  Now you're done!   Isn't she cute!

As always you can find your supplies in my store,

COME TO BETHLEHEM

Happy Sunday.  I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend and didn't shop too much.  Once I left Wal Mart I stayed at home and have been stamping. I had a Christmas ornament class yesterday and am helping my friends Linda and Judy with their Christmas cards this afternoon.  My card share today is using the stamp set Come to Bethlehem.

I used Night of Navy cardstock embossed with silver embossing powder.  The embossed image was cut using the Labels Collection Framelits and backed with Brushed Silver cardstock also cut with the Labels Collection Framelits.  I put a diamond in the middle of the star for a little "twinkle".

Sadly I have to go to work tomorrow (sigh) so will be dragging myself out of bed at dark thirty.  Wishing everyone a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Don't forget our Online Extravaganza ends November the 28th with some great door closing deals.  Shop my site here  I appreciate your support.
