Hi Friends,
Oh my gosh, I haven't posted in 4 months! Time is flying by and Fall is almost here and the good news is that we can order from the new Stampin' Up mini catalog! There are so many items that I love and had to have it was hard to pick my favorites. If I had to choose I think I would choose the Simply Scored Scoring Tool which will score paper sized up to 12" x 12". The Simply Scored has score tracks every 1/8 inch. There are also place markers included so you don't have to count every time you need to make duplicate scores. I will post later in week...well the week is almost over so maybe by the first of the week a comparison of scoring tools that was done by one of my colleagues. Additional favorites from my fall picks are: the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper 124003 and matching fabric 124066, Gently Falling stamp set 123804 ( I prefer the clear mount) and the Always Thankful stamp set 123787. Oh, I love, love the big Designer buttons 124113. You will find a link to the mini on my side bar.
I have been working on theAdvent Calendar on page 36 with my friend Frances, Whew there are a lot of parts and pieces! I hope to have a list of sizes, colors and number of each needed for you when I finish. It has been hard finding a 12 x 12 frame, I decided to use a different size and make adjustments so it would fit. I hope you like it when it is finished, I have had fun making it.
Just a short side note on what has been happening in my household. Hubby is still out of work but is in Baltimore with a company temporarily working on the power lines that were damaged in the storm. The power at Lake Gaston, where we have a camper, has been out for almost a week now, it looks like Labor Day vacation will be at home. ( Good time to get some stamping done :) I hate to face the refrig when the power does come on. I think a large leaf bag and nose plugs might be needed. I finally have replaced my camera that was stolen along with my phone, which had to be replaced much sooner. I have not decided if I will replace my i-pod. My little buddie P-nut is not doing well. He is having trouble breathing and sounds horrible. My vet thought it was congestive heart failure and sent him to the vet school at NC State here in Raleigh to the Cardiologist. It is not his heart however his lungs are not in good shape at all. Those of you that are animal lovers know that it is hard when our furry babies are not feeling well. He wants to play and is still my little man but he wheezes and coughs so we are trying to keep him calm. My buddy is always glad to see me, loves me unconditionally and never judges. I am having a hard time but would never let him suffer and will let him go when it becomes necessary. It is heart breaking. Losing someone you love whether through death or disagreement is painful as I have experienced both recently.
I will wrap this up for today and hopefully will have some cards to share with you this weekend.
Stay safe and keep stamping,
